Laura Frances Martin


Alongside her creative practice, Laura worked for a number of years in arts management & communications with several key Cornish development agencies. Since going freelance in 2007 she has been involved in a wide variety of projects across visual arts and sculpture, dance, theatre & film, as well as exhibiting and selling her work.

Laura is a founder member of ARTiculate and has been a core member of the City of Lights artist team since 2009. She has also more recently been developing creative workshop skills with young people & communities, and has just published her first children’s book.

Laura studied Art & Design at North Devon College and graduated with a 1st class BA (Hons) in Theatre from Dartington College of Arts. Since then she has trained further in a variety of creative and management practices, including a Diploma in Management for Creative Industries.

A visual artist, performer and more, Laura has lived and worked in Cornwall since 1996.

She loves to create large scale sculptures and works using a variety of media that reflect and explore the weirdness and the wonder of the natural world.
